The LITMO Life

What a weird season of life this is.

A mixture of grief, transition, and rediscovery.

I originally started this post to announce my new(ish) venture I am INSANELY excited about – coaching women of color at UncommonEvolution.com. I’m not taking clients through this business yet, though I have coached women in the past. Instead, I’m launching the BEAUTIFUL incredible website this amazing designer built for me and taking an ICF-accredited coaching course at the Institute for Integrative Intelligence. I have already taken one smaller coaching course that I really enjoyed but when I tell you I am SO PUMPED about III’s program – the curriculum looks AMAZING and everyone I’ve met so far on the team is wonderful. I am so, so excited to learn more.

And yes, I’m doing this along with starting my masters program in August. And of course, practicing law.

So, originally, this was just going to be a post announcing the new business. But then, this morning (Sunday, alone at my house in Costa Rica), I registered for a creative writing course at Gotham Writers. Because, well, above all else, this is a season of coming back to myself.

As I said in the last post, I’m dying for art. Specifically, my own art and creative expression. But it’s more than that – it’s also that I’m dying for connection, experiences, feelings. Basically, everything that makes us feel alive. Because I haven’t been living since Holly left.

Truth be told, I’m still not ready to live without her now, three years later.

But I am at a place where I’m not sure what the alternative is.

So not so much new venture announcing post, I guess. More so…continuing the theme of trying to live without her.

Whatever that means on any given day.
