So, my plan to write every day hasn’t worked out so far, because, well, I’m a loser.
Ok maybe that’s a bit harsh but it’s also true because I haven’t stopped working long enough to prioritize my art.
Which is REALLY loser-y.
As a result of the above, I’m unable to provide a go-deep post on my brain because (1) I’m exhausted, (2) I’m working a lot right now, and (3) my body is struggling with a ton of physical tiredness because I just got to Buenos Aires a few days ago.
So the least I can do is update you on the basics: as mentioned, just arrived in Argentina. Was in Tulum for six weeks (FELL IN LOVE WITH IT) and then back in the States to see Hubs + fam, then off again. Plan is right now back in the States for Thanksgiving (so four weeks in Argentina, and I can tell already that’s not long enough) and then to my house in Costa Rica for another four weeks. Then I have to go back to the States to update my passport because I need more pages (a flex, IMHO, lol) and then off again I *think* to Peru in January, Istanbul February, a music festival in the States with Hubs in March, and then Australia, New Zealand, Fiji. A LITTLE modified from my original plan because of (1) my passport and (of course) (2) my work. But still happy with it so far.
It’s amazing how quickly the artistic brain (artistic heart?!) goes down the toilet when you’re not taking care of yourself physically. Ok, I’ll just speak for myself – when I’m not taking care of myself physically. I have NO idea how the stereotype of the nocturnal, starving artist that only smokes cigarettes to survive was born. I could NEVER. I mean it sounds romantic but apparently I’m learning I need water, vegetables, sleep, enough free time, a lack of extreme stress, and to be generally in balance.
This was a nothing post but again, it’s my blog so we’re good with that.
OH we’re also finally back to handbalancing two years of my beloved left. AND I got a tattoo off her – see below. WE LOVE.
I also got a third hole in both lobes and a cartilage piercing. I hate to close the helix because it was positioned wrong but I’m re-doing it and getting a flat in the other ear. So I guess midlife crisis here we are? Luckily I look cool as fuck so NO WORRIES THERE.
Ok the next post will be less chaotic – I SWEAR. Needed to remind my fingers that we create art, not just contracts.
