Are you ready to live The LITMO Life?
I’m Anjali, a lawyer that decided to quit my traditional 9-5 job to travel full-time. The world has become, in many ways, a scary place with too much “otherism.” We’re all actually the same, but we’ve forgotten that – and I truly believe traveling and opening our minds again can change our world.
In this blog, I share tips, tricks, how-tos and experiences to help you start your own brand new adventure – whether it’s a life of travel (like me) or just stepping outside your comfort zone.
So what’s LITMO? When I was in college, I used to text my dad with my several worries. “What if I don’t get into law school?” “What do I even really want to do with my life?” “This person was already making millions by the age of 23!”
My dad, being the wise and patient man he was, answered each and every one of these texts with the following message: “Live in the moment only.” What he was trying to impart to me was that while it was fine to attempt to plan for the future, it was critical to realize that the only moment we actually had was the one we were in.
As I got older, and my worries continued and even grew in size, my dad continued to remain patient and wise. His texts, however, got progressively shorter until he was just texting me back “LITMO.”
Today, I describe myself as a girl who believes in feminism, LGBTQ rights, non-monogamy, veganism, a child-free life, the end of racism & better tomorrow, traveling the world full-time to figure out how I can help make it a better place. A big part of that is learning to live in the moment with an awareness of my fellow humans and their stories. This blog is for anyone that wants to design their own life to be happy – but also figure out how to contribute to the world and make it a better place.
Welcome to the LITMO Life – let’s start living in the moment together.
Writing a blog about running away from love, it turns out, will ensure that you receive more calls, emails, and messages than ever before. Who knew? After I wrote last week's blog, I received so many check-ins from all of you lovely people that I was completely...
The title of my blog is The LITMO Life. LITMO, for those of you who may not be regular readers of my blog, means "Live In The Moment Only" and it's something my dad used to say to me to remind me to get the fuck out of my own head when I was a child. Over the past 8...
These are the worst kinds of travelers...try as hard as you can not to be one. Traveling teaches you a lot about the world and yourself, because it makes you see things you otherwise never would have. In that way, it's not unusual for travelers to be more progressive,...
